2026 Audio Sound Competition Rules

Bikes will be judged King of the Hill style: two bikes compete, and the best-sounding bike remains until all competitors have played.  The playing order will be drawn randomly, so please bring a playlist with multiple songs-you may be asked to play more than once. Please ensure your battery is fully charged.

Entry Fees:

  1. $15: Audio competition entry fee (payable to               )
  2. $10: Bike show entry fee (payable to               )
  3. $20: Discounted Rate if entering both the audio competition and the bike show
  4. ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

General Competition Rules

  1. Music containing vulgarity, homophobic or racial slurs (including the "N" word) will result in disqualification.
  2. You must arrive at least 1 hour before the start time
  3. If you arrive after the bikes have been randomly drawn, but before the contest starts, you will automatically go first.
  4. All bikes must be ridden into the arena.
  5. Only two-wheel motorcycles will be allowed.
  6. The motorcycle must start and pull out of the competition area, or be disqualified.
  7. Entry is allowed up until the start of your class. Once your class has started, no additional entries are allowed. 
  8. Up to six classes will be judged, depending on participation. 

The rules of play during the competition

  1. Phones must be on airplane mode to prevent interruptions.
  2. Only volume and bass knob adjustments are allowed during play time.
  3. Be ready to go, have your song selection and phone prepared.
  4. Each contestant will have one (1) 90-second round to perform.
  5. Judges may request additional rounds if needed to determine a winner.

Speaker & Equipment Clarifications 

  1. Each class will have a winner.
  2. Competitors may move up a class, but cannot disconnect speakers to move down a class. If a speaker is on the bike, it counts, whether or not it's connected. 
  3. Tour pack speakers are allowed and count toward the total speaker count. 
  4. Midrange, mid-bass, and subwoofers all count as speakers.
  5. Small tweeters or horns (e.g., ST25, ST35) do not count as speakers.
  6. Coaxial speakers with horns or tweeters count as 1 speaker. 

Sound Competition Classes

  1. Unlimited speakers allowed.
  2. NO SUBS ALLOWED
  3. NO 8s, 10s, or 12s-6x9 is the largest speaker permitted.
  4. Tour packs and lower fairings are allowed. 
  5. You may not disconnect larger speakers to compete in this class.
  1. Up to 6 speakers.
  2. NO SUBS ALLOWED.
  3. No more than two 10'' drivers allowed.
  4. All other drivers must be 8" or smaller.
  5. Bags may be ported or sealed.
  6. Tour pack: no speaker larger than 8" mid-bass/midrange permitted 
  1. Up to 12 speakers
  2. TRUE SUBS ALLOWED
  3. No more than two 10" drivers allowed
  4. All other drivers must be 8" or smaller
  5. Bags may be ported or sealed.
  6. Tour pack: no speaker larger than 8" mid-bass/midrange permitted 
  7. No more than one set of subs on the bike
  1. 14+ Speakers
  2. No limits-anything goes
  1. No limits-run what ever you have

Sound Competition Judging & Points

  1. Judging will be composed of at least 2-3 unbiased judges
  2. A point system of 1 through 5 will be used for each category below:
    1. Over all sound
    2. Highs
    3. Mids
    4. Bass
  3. Max score: 20 points per judge
  4. with 3 judges the max total is 60 points
